My Recent Move to Tampa!!

Hello Everyone!! So, I made this blog awhile ago, but never got around to actually starting it. However, today I felt something within me to start posting today. I believe that my change in the environment played a huge role in this action. So, today, I will be taking you all through a journey in....... Tampa, Florida!!! This is my first move away from my hometown, Tallahassee, FL. I was fearful of moving away from my family, specifically, my mother. It was hard for a few days to not get to see her every morning when waking up. However, with my sister being here with me, I feel comfort in my move. In every blog that I post, I will make sure to be consistent as possible in sharing with you all, my life here in Tampa! Without further ado, let's hop into my current life!

My first few tours around the area was great! My sister moved here a few years before I did, so she knew the area fairly well. Firstly, I was taken to one part of downtown Tampa. We came across beautiful and elegant restaurants that I plan to try out when I turn 21. There were other businesses, from boutiques to gyms and more! In this area, my sister decided to take me to a juice bar that she's visited before, called "Clean Juice Organic Cafe." I decided to try the "Glow One"  fresh juice and I rated it a 10/10. I'd highly recommend it!

The next day my sister showed me more around the area. There is a cafe that my sister has been meaning to try ever since she moved here. However, this cafe is in Wesley Chapel, Florida, which is about 40 minutes from away Tampa, and it's called "Sorbo Coffee." I honestly wished that I had taken a picture while inside because the interior was extremely beautiful and calming, but I was slightly nervous to take out my phone in front of everyone. I decided to try this drink that I believed would taste refreshing and sweet. However, it came to be the complete opposite of what I thought. I would rate my drink a 6.5/10. In my opinion, as well as my sisters, it had a sandy texture and was not refreshing at all. I didn't realize at first, but the cafe is known for it's matcha and I had matcha before, but this one tasted different. Right now, my review isn't great upon this business, but I would go back there to try out another beverage and add a meal to that to see if it changes. If you are a matcha lover, I'd highly recommend this cafe!

Later on, my sister and I further toured an area in the Wesley Chapel area called "The Shops at Wiregrass". The plaza was great and it had a variety of businesses from cafes to clothing stores. In the area are many sushi restaurants, as well. One restaurant that my sister and I decided to dine in is called "Crazy Sushi Wiregrass." I usually stick to my usual California roll, but I felt like trying something new that day and I was glad I did. I can't remember what my sister ordered, but what I ordered was the "Mango Roll". I rated this a 10/10. It was sweet and salty, and typically, I don't enjoy sweet and salty. However, trying out this meal, I was able to take in the refreshing mango(ness) from it. So, I highly recommend this lovely restaurant, for it's wonderful, customer service, interior and food!

Last weekend my sister and I journeyed around more of Tampa. We visited Midtown Tampa, which was small but very colorful and cute. I took many wonderful pictures of the scenery. There were plenty of seating areas outdoors, which I felt was very convenient. My sister and I came across another cafe (as you can see, cafes are our favorite places to go, and I recommend as the best areas to visit) called "Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company."  Because it was a hot day, my sister and I wanted smoothies rather than coffee or tea. I tried the "Razzy Jazzy" smoothie. It was refreshing and fruitful. The ingredients to make this smoothie was unexpected, but that was one of the reasons as to why I wanted to try it.  I will definitely go back to try out more from their menu. I unfortunately don't have a personal photo of my drink, but I will mention the ingredients from the smoothie that I had:
"Razzy Jazzy"
  • cranberry juice, strawberries, raspberries, and yogurt.

I have a few more photos that I would like to share from downtown Tampa. The days that I spent outside was very heated in degrees, but it was very lovely to view and spend time in with my sister! I hope you all have enjoyed my long explained adventure during my first few weeks in Tampa and Wesley Chapel!!
